The term WWJD or What Would Jesus Do became very popular a few years ago, and it has become a mantra for many people.  For many people it is a personal motto or reminder to themselves, a reminder to "try" to do the "right thing".  Commendable I guess.  But can one ever attempt to imitate Jesus Christ?  And if so, how?

Let Go of The Past!

We are to look ahead in expectation and faith – not behind.

Through years of counseling we have seen that too many times people are focused upon the past, whether it is positive or negative, and base their daily decisions and their daily attitude on the past.  This is not only unproductive, but in many cases downright dangerous for your spiritual growth!

Our past is exactly that – the past!  It only defines you if you allow it!

Today is your day to walk in the destiny and purpose that God planned for you – let me repeat that – today is your day!

“And the spirit of the Lord hovered over the surface of the waters…” – Genesis 1:2
Then God said… Then God… Then… Then…

“The Spirit of the Lord hovered…”

“Then God said…”

We have a mighty truth found in the first three verses of our Bible, three verses that we all have heard and read hundreds of times. There is a hidden truth that will give to life to the dying, wealth to the poor, hope to the depressed, and deliverance to the oppressed.

Forgive Yourself!

Forgive yourself.

You have sinned.  We all have sinned.

We all have come short of the glory of God, and that is no secret.  Yet, the same blood of Jesus that was shed for everyone else was also shed for you!  You are righteous, you are redeemed, and you have been justified.

Justified – to declare innocent or guiltless; absolve; acquit.  

“Just If I’d” never sinned!  You have been justified in the sight of God, and since God has forgiven you – you must forgive yourself as well.  

You must forgive yourself as well! Again not a suggestion or a good idea – this is a commandment.  Forgive yourself from the sins you have committed and for your rebellious ………
