Everything must be grounded and rooted in scripture. This keeps us from wandering into error and foolishness. In this introductory article we will take a quick look at what the Bible says about 'tongues'.
Check out the Book of Acts in the New Testament. There are loads of references to the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. We'll consider a couple, but I recommend that you look at the list of scriptures at the end of this article too.
Tongues is a supernatural language given by God to believers in Jesus when they are baptised in the Holy Ghost. It is a language that has never been learned by the speaker, yet it can often be as fluent and expressive as their native, ……

Did you know you can pray "The Perfect Prayer" that God will answer every time?
In 1 Corinthians14:2, God reveals to us a secret of praying, "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries". (KJV) God has given us the opportunity to pray in the spirit directly to God in which we cannot mess up.
A couple of verse later, He shows us the first benefit of praying in the spirit. "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself". (KJV) Each time you pray this way, you are building up your self in a way that can only been done by this kind of prayer. You can also do this anytime………
by Wayne Sutton – Clinical Licensed Christian Counselor
Many people find it much easier to talk about things that are personal over the telephone versus a face-to-face consultation. It is also easier for many to be more open and honest with the person on the other end of the telephone line than it is for them to be completely honest when they are meeting face to face. Communicating over the phone can be a much more comfortable situation for many people versus the face-to-face meeting since it can be done in the comfort of your own home without having to worry about any physical appearances.
According to research done in 2008, when patients receive Christian phone counseling to ………
I read a lot.
I study often.
And I have my eyes focused upon the goodness of God – yet my eyes are still open to see where the enemy is whispering lies and spreading seeds of confusion into the body of Christ.
The enemy will at times SHOUT his blasphemies and heresy, and for those willing to jump on the Anti-Christ bandwagon – the clear defiled message is sadly effective.
Yet all to often, the whisper of the enemy is nearly silent, it is a covert whisper subliminally hidden within religious language and even preached from the pulpits all across the world.
Covert. Why does the enemy whisper instead of scream? And how can we protect ourselves from seeds of corruption?Covert language is "hidden language" – ……
*Whenever we receive a prophetic vision or insight we should spend time in prayer for clear revelation AND for instruction on how to pray and what we should do with this revelation.
I was driving from North Carolina to Maryland recently on a business trip. As I was passing through DC and going into Maryland I started praying about our nation. It was more of a prayer of inquiry than a prayer of petition.
"God tell me what you see when you see America… God what do you feel, God let me feel what you feel when you have your eye on America." This was my simple prayer to our Lord. I prayed and then I simply turned off the radio and waited upon the Lord.
Pain and discomfort.
When you wait upon the Lord ………………
A Curse From Not Selling?
The Kingdom Of God Includes The Marketplace!
"The people curse him who holds back grain [when the public needs it],but a blessing [from God and man] is upon the head of him who sells it."
(Proverbs 11:26 AMP emphasis mine)
Although many people are quick to reference the story of Jesus and money changers in the temple, anytime they feel they are being pressured or manipulated into giving or tithing… or anytime Christians market a product or service, they seem to miss this powerful verse in the book of Proverbs.
Is there abuse and even manipulation in the ministry when it comes to finances? Yes. However, there is ………
I now have glasses…. and it made me think. (maybe because I look smarter? lol)
I turned the big 40 – and my wife finally prodded me to go and have an eye exam, despite the fact that I see great!
Why do I need to waste time and money on an eye exam?
However, I went and let them do their exam. And yep, I left with a prescription and order for a new pair of glasses. At this point I still did not believe that I needed them!
Afew days later I get the phone call to come and pick them up… Buyers remorse settled in. I know that the prescription is low, and I am guessing they will only be a pair of plain glass lens – no change whatsoever.
Wow. I stand corrected.
It is comforting to know that God knew each of us by name before we ever existed in this earthly realm. Our life is set apart and appointed for purpose and destiny. His plans for us were completed in Him, even before we were formed in our mother’s womb.
We find a wonderful illustration of this fact in John 1:45–51. Philip found Nathanael and informed him, "We have found the man that Moses and the prophets wrote about in the law. He is from Nazareth. His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph. A discouraged Nathanael cynically questioned Philip, "Nazareth! Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Philip answered, "Come and see for yourself."
When Jesus looked upon………
"Wayne, prophecy is not for today, the gift of prophecy and prophets passed away…"
This above statement was quoted to me by a local Pastor. Now, I have a great respect for the pastor and consider him a friend. Sadly today there are many that still believe that the gifts of the spirit have somehow "died away" and are no longer valid. Yet to overcome this objection to what is reality, lets take a close look at the following conversation.
Pastor: Well Wayne, today is different. We no longer hear from God as the prophets once did.
Me: Really? The word of God tells us that prophets are part of the 5 fold ministry, and that we should earnestly ………
