The Living Stream Church of the Brethren is the newest church plant by the Northwest Oregon-Washington District of the Church of the Brethren. It’s address is www.livingstreamcob.org and is the first internet congregation for the Church of the Brethren.
“Brethren Voices” met with its pastor, Audrey DeCoursey to find out more about this new church which began on December 2, 2012. It meets every Sunday evening, 5:00pm PST, (8:00pm EST). In many ways it resembles the early church in which letters of correspondence connected people together across borders and oceans.

Think of this as a kind of laboratory for exploring worship with new media, where we learn together what draws us to each other, what soothes our spirits, what uplifts us from our alienation, and what challenges us to grow. “Brethren Voices” also provides three special alternative Christmas ideas in support of Heifer International, Brethren Disaster Ministries as well as the New Community Project’s Give A Girl A Chance Fund promoting a matching gift for girl’s education in South Sudan.
