A King James Bible search engine is much better than a concordance.
The word "Trinity" is never used in the King James Bible. However we do have the word "Godhead". And I believe that this is referring to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Ironically, it is mentioned 3 times in the King James Bible. See ACTS 17:29, ROMANS 1:20, and COLOSSIANS 2: 9.
Brother Hovind is right when he says heaven should be singular, not plural. However, he is giving the wrong reason why it should be singular. The reason it should be singular is because it is talking about the "whole heaven", not the "first heaven."
The "whole heaven" is a real Biblical term. See GENESIS 7:19, DEUTERONOMY 2:25, DEUTERONOMY 4:19, JOB 28:24, JOB 37:3, JOB 41:11, DANIEL 7:27, and DANIEL 9:12. The "first heaven" and the "second heaven" are man made terms. One time in our entire Holy Book the term "third heaven" is used. So it is assumed that there must be a "second heaven" and a "first heaven." Maybe, or maybe not. I don't know for sure. But I do know for sure that you will not find either of those terms in the King James Bible.
There are also those who teach that there are seven heavens. People sure like to read a lot of stuff into the Bible that is not actually there. I'm not blaming Kent for anything. He is just teaching what he has been taught.
Nevertheless I am trying to be honest and I am explaining what the Holy Ghost has shewed me through the process of time. I have been a student of the book since I was a child. However, I have no flattering titles nor do I desire any. I've got no money. I've got no job. I'm 60 years old, and the day time is turning to night time, if you know what I mean. I just want people to get a hold of the truth.
Thank you.
Just a side note…Brother Hovind took us to SECOND CORINTHIANS 12:1-4. I wish he would have included verse 5 also because it shews clearly that Paul was not talking about himself as so many Bible teachers teach. Read verse 2 again and then read verse 5 and you will see that the person he was describing was not himself. But hey, I don't want to chase that dog right now. I'm heading in another direction.
But before I leave the text notice one more thing…verse 2 says "caught up to third heaven." Then verse 4 states "caught up into paradise". So the "third heaven" is "paradise" and "paradise is the "third heaven."
O.k…now I am down to what I want to talk about. I believe that guy he was describing was having what we call to day an "out of body experience."
I've never had what we call to day, "a near death experience." It's a misnomer by the way. A lot of people have near death moments without having an out of body episode, and a lot of people have an out of body experience without being near death. With all that being said I would like to tell about my one and only "out of body experience."
When I was 17 years old (I am 60 now,) one night, I was leaning up against a car listening to another guy singing and playing his guitar. I was very very relaxed and then things started spinning counter clockwise, (perhaps 8 to 10 orbits,) and then my soul just took off like a bird. I mean my inner being was flying just like a bird. The wind was hitting me in the face of my spiritual body and I was flying . I could see the rustling of the leaves on the tree limbs as I was flying in the tree tops, and I was ecstatic to say the least.
I kept circling the people below me and then finally I focused in on the guy that was leaning against the car and that guy was me! I mean it was not me, it was my body. It took me awhile to recognize myself. And when I did I totally freaked out! And I told myself "you are in the process of dying, and you had better get back in your body before you get too far away from it." Then instantly, I was back in, and the shock was so great that I staggered a bit and I had to sit down on the ground. Actually, I sit down on a dead tree that was lying on the ground. And I said to myself, "what just happened to me?"
Now ever since that night I knew that the real me was a soul!
I know many people, even King James Bible believers that believe in the gap theory. They have a few pet verses that they use in order to prop up their theory. Because of so called science, not real science, they have a hard time believing that verse 1 is part of the first day.
But ask a child in the 5th grade to read the first 5 verses that talks about the first day, and I guarantee you not a single one will think there is millions or billions of years between verse 1 and verse 2, unless he was taught it by an adult.
Kent – Genesis 1;1 in the KJV – use to read "Heavens" NOT "Heaven" , how do you of all people not recognise this has changed !!!! , You use to preach this yourself !!!!
How do you not see the Bible is changing on every shelf in the world , the words in the book are changing
what is the trinity for earth?
so what's the trinity for matter?
I got 3 chocolates coming Hovind! I love your studies, keep it up mate!
