It seems as though much of the Body of Christ is having an identity in crisis. Some have no thought on what their destiny is in life. Others think their position within a church body, or what they “do” for the Lord is destiny. Not necessarily. Destiny comes from your being; meaning the core of who you are. And in that place, God will speak to you about image; about how He has called you to uniquely reflect an aspect of who He is on this earth.
There is certainly the general sense of how we are to reflect Christ; by drawing souls to the kingdom and demonstrations of His power through signs, wonders, and miracles. But within all that is also the dire need for you to discover what God has uniquely placed on the inside of you that will reflect Him on this earth. What part of His image are you designed with that will reflect Him?
Still not sure where I’m going with this? Let’s lay a foundation through His word. In Romans 8:28-29 it says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” The use of the word “good” in this scripture actually means to be like Christ, enjoying closer fellowship with God , and bearing good fruit for the kingdom. It doesn’t mean earthly pleasures. Though some may not see this, the truth is, God has always been doing good for his people. God foreknew you; meaning, He chose you beforehand to become like Christ.
