For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 1 Colossians 1:16,17
It is so mind-blowing to know how creations came to being through God’s love and power. Look around you and witness how God has breathed life to every single being and creature in the world. The trees, animals, mountains, oceans, sky, flowers, and all that has life in them, God made them.
However, this biblical truth cannot be accepted by many skeptics because of the different creation myths and theories that are coming out ever since. But still, believing what is written in the bible gives exhilaration and freedom as John 8: 32 says “the truth shall set us free.”
One of the greatest scientific discovery that will prove the accuracy of the bible is what we call laminin. Webster Medical Dictionary defines laminin as “glycoprotein that is a component of connective tissue basement membrane and that promotes cell adhesion.” In other words, it is laminin that ‘hold cells and tissues together’ in the human body.
The shape of laminin is described as ‘consisting of arms, three of which are short and one of which is long.’ This kind of shape precisely show that it is a cross-shaped cell holding together our cells and tissues to form our body. Without this element, our body will fall apart.
It brilliantly confirms what Paul said in the mentioned verse above, that in Christ Jesus all things hold together. Truly, without Him, nothing that was ever made would have been possible. God has knitted out our bodies wonderfully, beautifully, and perfectly. Who would have thought that our body is connected by microscopic cross-shaped molecule?! We have an amazing God indeed!
