LESSON 1 * PART 1 * BOOK 72
THE BIG PICTURE OF WHY WE
BELIEVE IN THE PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE
I Cor. 9:17; Eph. 1:10; Eph. 3:2; Col. 1:25
All right, glad to see all of you here in the studio. For those of you out in television again, we would like to invite you to sit down with your Bible and your pen and notepad and just study with us. I’m not a preacher. I’m not going to be lecturing you. We’re going to be teaching just like any other teacher would out of a textbook, which means that we’re going to use as many Scriptures as possible to not prove the point of Les Feldick, but to prove the point of God’s Word.
Now, I just announced to our studio audience that we just got back from three weeks down in Florida and had a great time. The very first church where we started down at Fort Myers, the pastor had asked before I even left Oklahoma, “I never tell a visiting speaker what to speak on, but if you feel so led, I would really appreciate it if you would address why we stand on a pre-tribulation Rapture. Because I understand that we’re under attack for that like never before.” Of course, I’m hearing it from every quarter that people are almost getting aggressively hateful about our stand on a pre-trib. Rapture.
So, I agreed wholeheartedly. We were there for the Sunday morning Sunday school hour, the morning service hour, the evening service; and then Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night, for an hour to an hour and a half each night. And as people were leaving, that’s what gave me the idea, they would say,”Les, why don’t you make a series of programs on this?” And I said, “Well, we’ll consider it.” The more I thought about it and prayed about it, it just seems as though this was the way we’re going to go. I don’t know how many programs it’s going to take. I don’t know where we’ll end any one particular program. We’re just going to be flying free on this, and when we run out of time, we’ll stop and just start up the next time where we left off.
We’re going to start on the premise that you cannot understand the concept of the Rapture and the Tribulation and the Second Coming and the Kingdom without being a dispensationalist. Now, it’s a hated word in a lot of quarters. It’s as if it isn’t even Scriptural. But, I have put four verses on the board. We’ll look at them briefly. They all make reference to that very term — a dispensation.
We’ll look at them as we’ve got them up here. The first one is I Corinthians chapter 9 verse 17. While you’re looking that up, I’ll just share an experience with one of my listeners. Several years ago he approached his pastor and he said, “Pastor, why don’t you ever preach a sermon on the Rapture?” “Oh,” he said, “I wouldn’t dare do that, then I’d be a dispensationalist.” Well, what’s so bad with that? But they’re almost afraid of the term as if it’s an unbiblical concept, but I’m going to show you that it is a Scriptural term. I Corinthians chapter 9 verse 17, where Paul writes:
I Corinthians 9:17
“For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.” Dispensation—we’re going to explain that in more detail after we’ve looked at these four verses.
All right, the next one is Ephesians 1:10. Just keep on going to the right through Galatians to Ephesians chapter 1 verse 10, and again Paul, by Holy Spirit inspiration. Remember, Paul doesn’t write one word that isn’t inspired by the Holy Spirit, and he uses the term. Isn’t it amazing that much of Christendom detests it. A biblical term, a Scriptural term, but they detest it. And if we get a letter at all that’s less than kind, that’s what it’s over. “How can you teach this false theory of a Rapture?” Well, this is why – because it’s biblical!
“That in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth; even in him:” That’s a different dispensation, but never the less the same term.
Now, the next one, I think, is chapter 3 verse 2, and this is actually the verse that we used in every service under those circumstances. I was actually asking my audience to memorize this verse. And it’s easy to memorize. And it’s a good foundation for our approach to Scripture.
“If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God (That’s the one in which we are.) which is given to me (But it doesn’t stay there, where does it go?) to you:” And who are the you that Paul is writing to? Gentiles.
So, the dispensation of grace is a set of instructions that God has given to us as Gentiles in particular. I’m going to go into that in a little bit.

LESSON 3 * PART 2 * BOOK 64
BUT GOD – (Kingdom of God) – PART 2
We were talking about the difference between the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Heaven, and we haven’t mentioned it yet but we will, and the Body of Christ.
Remember from our last half-hour, I explained that if you will just draw a circle on your notepad and call the large circle the Kingdom of God. It includes everything pertaining to the Word of God. It includes the Body of Christ. Every true believer becomes a member of the Body of Christ, and since the Body of Christ is in the Kingdom of God, yes, we are associated with the Kingdom. But our number one priority is not to fill the Kingdom. No, we are working today to fill the Body of Christ! Matthew 6:33
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” All right, we took off in our last program on delineating the Kingdom of Heaven as over against the Kingdom of God. Now, let’s go back to Daniel again and pick up where we left off concerning the Kingdom of Heaven. That is going to be the veritable Sovereign rule and reign of Christ on the planet. He’s going to be totally Sovereign God. Daniel 7 and drop in again at verse 13.
“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man (That’s, of course, God the Son, Jesus Christ of the New Testament.) Adam! Daniel 7:14a
It’s going to be heaven on earth. It is Heaven on earth. That’s why it’s called the Kingdom gospel, or the Kingdom of Heaven, because it’s going to be heaven on earth. All right, now finish the verse.
“…his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom which shall not be destroyed.” All right, so what’s going to happen? All right, now let’s go a little further in the Old Testament. Isaiah 2:1-2a
“The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. Isaiah 2:2b
“…that the mountain (or the kingdom) of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, (Or kingdoms! All right, this kingdom is going to be established as the top kingdom of the kingdoms.) and shall be exalted above the hills; (Or the smaller kingdoms or the other nations of the world – this kingdom with its capital, of course, in Jerusalem.) and all the nations shall (What?) flow unto it.” All right, now from Isaiah 2, let’s jump up to chapter 9. Isaiah 9:6a
“For unto us (the Nation of Israel, again) a child is born, (Now, that’s a reference to Christ at Bethlehem.) Israel. All right, now back to our text in verse 6.
See, He’s God in total. Now verse 7:
Now, we’ve said it a hundred times on this program, where was David’s throne? Mount Zion in Jerusalem. Isaiah 9:7c
The word judgment means “righteous rule.” Isaiah 9:7d
All right, now let’s take our time and jump in at Zechariah 14 and see what has to precede the coming in of this glorious heaven on earth Kingdom.
“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh,…” It’s called the day of the Lord: Judgment – Wrath – Punishment.
2. For I (God) will (Sovereignly) gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle;…” Stop right there. Jump ahead to Matthew 24 with the words of the Lord Jesus Himself. All right, you’re going to come down to verse 7, you can jump in almost anyplace, but let’s jump in at verse 7, and Jesus is speaking.
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Matthew 24:8
All right, now verse 9, and once it starts, like the woman approaching delivery —
“Then (Jesus says, and remember, He’s speaking to the Twelve who are representative of the Nation of Israel.) Matthew 24:21
All right, let’s go back to Zechariah. Here is what Jesus was making reference to, this prophecy right here in verse 2.
When all the nations of the world have come to the Middle East for the sole purpose of destroying and removing the Jewish people, God will intervene. Zechariah 14:4
All right now verse 8.
“And it shall be in that day, (When Christ returns to Jerusalem.) 9. And the LORD shall be king over (What?) all the earth: (Not just Israel. Not just Jerusalem. He’s going to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords over the whole planet.) All right, now let’s jump up to Acts a minute. Acts chapter 1. Now, what Kingdom did they have in their mind? See what glory for Israel! Is Israel again ready to have that kind of a kingdom? All right, now let’s go over quickly to verse 9, as they are standing on the Mount of Olives talking about things pertaining to this coming kingdom.
Jesus said, “I came to send FIRE on the earth, and how I WISH (WILL) it were Already KINDLED!” Luke 12:49
2,000 years ago the “FIRE” wasn’t “Already KINDLED.”
Jesus was just WISHING it were!
When will the coming “Consuming” “Fire” be Unleashed or “Kindled” according to the scriptures?
In the Opening Vision before the 7 Trumpets at Revelation 8:5, the “Angel takes FIRE from the alter, and hurls it to the earth.”
What follows in Trumpet 1 & 2 is a lot of “*Burning!”
“(vs7) The 1st angel sounded: And hail and FIRE followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were BURNED UP, and all green grass was BURNED UP.
8 Then the 2nd angel sounded: And something like a great mountain BURNING with FIRE was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died,
and a third of the ships were destroyed.”
Consider the Same Timing or sequence of events also presented in the SONG OF MOSES Sung at Deuteronomy 31 & 32 and Re-Sung at Revelation 15:2.
22 “For a FIRE is kindled by my ANGER
(7 Trumpets opening vision),
And shall burn to the lowest grave;
it shall CONSUME THE EARTH WITH HER INCREASE (Trumpet 1),
and SET ON FIRE THE FOUNDATIONS OF MOUNTAINS (Trumpet 2) Deuteronomy 32:22.
Powerful Scriptures using FIRE
►1 Corinthians 3:13-17
13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it,
because it will be REVEALED BY FIRE; and the FIRE will TEST EACH ONE’S WORK, of what sort it is.
14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
15 If anyone’s WORK is BURNED, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through FIRE.
16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him.
For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
18 “Son of man, the HOUSE OF ISRAEL has become DROSS to Me; they are all bronze, tin, iron, and lead, in the midst of a FURNACE; they have become dross from silver.
19 Therefore thus says the Lord God:
‘Because you have all become dross, therefore behold,
I will gather you into the midst of Jerusalem.
20 As men gather silver, bronze, iron, lead, and tin into the midst of a FURNACE, to blow FIRE on it, to MELT it; so I will gather you in MY ANGER and in MY FURY,
and I will leave you there and MELT you.
21 Yes, I will gather you and blow on you with the FIRE OF MY WRATH,
and you shall be MELTED in its midst.
22 As silver is MELTED in the midst of a FURNACE, so shall you be MELTED in its midst;
then you shall know that I, the Lord,
have poured out MY FURY on you.’ “
► 2 Peter 3:7, 10-12
7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word are reserved for FIRE
until the DAY OF JUDGMENT and perdition of ungodly men…….
10 But the DAY OF THE LORD will come as a THIEF in the night,
in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise,
and the elements will MELT with FERVENT HEAT;
both the EARTH and the WORKS that are in it will be BURNED UP.
11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
12 looking for and hastening the coming of the DAY OF GOD,
because of which the HEAVENS will be DISSOLVED, being on FIRE,
and the elements will MELT with FERVENT HEAT?
