oh wow thanks this is awesome! I will listen and sub just what I was looking for I lve liatened to alot of different people. some on Bible study others like Hugh Ross an former athiest astronomer who is an Christian apologetic. he offers alot of scientific arguments for the existence of GOD. look up latest scientific evidence of the existence of GOD-hugh Ross if your interested.
I now have alot of good resources built up. between this channel Hugh Ross videos and a few pastors I'm learning everyday.
You speak of two interpretations of the "ye are all gods" I would like to suggest the third, the point He was making may have been to point out that it was wrong to call Him a blasphemer since in scripture men have been called gods thereby making themselves equal to God or as His representatives. Although He is clearly the son of God and therefore making a bigger claim, He is pointing out that claiming to be God is not something worthy of stoning, as it is used in scripture. He so often uses scripture against them even saying "have ye not read?" He is using their knowledge to make a point. At this time though scripture was used in synagoges and read from generally all their laws and customs were teachings of the elders, some of course going clearly against scripture. Much like church today, where are thise uniforms from, the mass from, the ceremonies, baby baptism, it is all man made. If they read scripture merely they would know a blaphemer and a sinner, not convict by ungodly laws.

hey I just ran into this study! Nice job. there is one thing though , Jesus was God manifest in the flesh. if not he wouldn't have told Satan dial shalt not tempt the Lord thy God when Satan was really just speaking to Jesus , Jesus we know was not a liar. and he was humble I never posting himself as God because that was not the purpose of his coming here. take a look at the following verses with a clear mind as we pay attention the verbiage in His conversation with Satan:
Matt 4:
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Jesus told him.. not to tempt God… jet Satan was indeed speaking with him..
there are many line upon line and precept upon precept studies that we can do in order to see the true character that shined through Christ being Yahweh
I see a lot of comments, saying I've listened to this pastor and listen to that Pastor oh and I'm following this man or following that man.
What is Jesus telling you God's way of talking to us it's not like corruptible man.
He could speak to you directly and give you studies directly and guide you to the right studies and guide you to see who is not being clear and he will convict you of Truth.
Romans tells us when the spirit of truth comes it comes to convict the mind. Let every man be persuaded in their own mind. and if we seek him with an honest heart, He is the one that leads us to all truth. and the truth of His knowledge which is to know him not about him , because if we just wanted to know about him, we would tremble as the demons do.
