“I am the Lord thy God, and there is no other…”
“You shall have no other Gods before me…”
“I am the way, the truth, and the life…”
Jesus. Yeshua. Emmanuel.
We have truth in HIS name – so allow Holy Spirit reality to form and mold us into HIS image. This is the promise of 2 Corinthians 3:18.
I was on the newly popular app Clubhouse a few days ago, teaching on marketing and coaching systems, when the discussion was shifted by a guest who wanted to ask me questions relating to faith.
It stayed pretty much a civil conversation, until we jumped into matters that were not in alignment with the feelings of the other person.
Our FEELINGS about a matter will never override truth. Let me state that again, because the church today has become weak in this matter…
Our FEELINGS will never override truth. We have the word of God as our plumb line to make sure our theology and actions are based upon the truth. Sure, there are gross misinterpretations of the word, and many people have twisted the truth to fit inside their own doctrines. But that is called Idolatry.
“Wayne, the Jesus I see in the Bible would….” “The Jesus I believe in would never…” “How I see Jesus is….”
When we create a JESUS of our own understanding, based upon our feelings, we have committed Idolatry. The truth of Jesus is within the word of God, and we must surrender our selfish desires as we allow Holy Spirit to transform us.
Read 2 Corinthians 3:18 – and as you read it, ask Holy Spirit to mold you from one level of glory to another. It is a process that we get to experience with the Lord!
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” – 2 Cor. 3:18
Your feelings are easily influenced, and even the word says that because of rebellion God will turn some people over to a debased mind to be damned. Lord, help us to surrender and never be rebellious.
I am here to pray for you in the process. And please keep us in your prayers as well.
