Romans 12:1 New International Version (NIV)
A Living Sacrifice
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
More than the songs we sing and the praises and worship we utter, Romans 12:1 says our true and proper worship is to offer our bodies as living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
This might not fit the standard of our generation today where sex outside marriage is upheld and encouraged as long as it is “SAFE”. We surmise that because it is “safe sex” it is going to be okay as long we aren’t hurting anybody.
But we fail to remember that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and most of all we were bought with a price.
Watch this throat-tightening truth that were artistically bundled into a poem by Canden Webb that will either leave you amazed or convicted.
“The poem is called Romans 12:1 to mean submitting to God, not only in one area but in all; especially regarding our bodies,” Canden Webb said.
