We are here to save others.
You have the power to save others! Wait, only Jesus saves, yes?
Am i preaching heresy? Not at all. Always remember that YOU have the King of Kings and Lord of Lords living within you! You have the power to speak life, bring hope and joy, and ultimately build a bridge with others…
A bridge for Holy Spirit to draw them into the Kingdom of God
Instead of saving and bring people to the transformational saving power of God however, we all too often alienate ourselves from the world of sinners… and not to sound too cliché, but what would Jesus do?
Mark 2:13-17 – Once again Jesus went out beside the lake. A large crowd came to him, and he began to teach them. As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him.
While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
So, who are we reaching and saving? The righteous or those still in need of the saving grace of Christ?
Another cliché that holds a lot truth is “you may be the only Jesus they see.” – How true. Jesus is not only the only answer for the life of despair, the Christ you show may be the only revealing of Jesus they ever witness.
Who today can you build a bridge with? Who can you save from a life of despair and an eternal life separated from God, by truly being the Jesus they need in this life.
1 Cor. 5:12-13 – “For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside…”
Now I urge you to closely read this again…. This is the Apostle Paul’s epistle, New Testament and covenant – emphatically stating that we are NOT to judge those outside the church. Why? We do not know their heart… and why would we ever expect those without God, to act Godly?
Never allow the enemy to cloud your mind with self-righteous beliefs, or the error of legalism. We are not to judge those outside of the church – period. We are to show them the truth, in love, of Jesus Christ and His redemption. Be the Christ they need to see, and allow Holy Spirit to convict and bring them into the Kingdom!
God Bless You!
