An Arkansas pastor and his congregation are grieving the deaths of his two daughters, who were killed recently by a train.

The pastor and son survived the collision. The pastor’s wife was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

According to The Christian Post, Pastor Chad Fryar of Crossroads Cowboy Church in Bismarck, Arkansas, and the family were traveling east on Richwoods Road when the car approached Union Pacific Railroad tracks as a train was approaching.

The train struck the passenger side of the car, pushing the vehicle some 2,400 feet before it came to a stop.

“We are devasted by [the] tragic events and the loss of Marlee Jo and Dana Kate,” the statement read. “Chad and Bo Henry are stable in local hospitals. Please continue to pray for their healing. Please pray for Rachel as she navigates this loss and ministers to her son and husband.”

The family said Chad is in good spirits but remains in the ICU to be monitored.

Bo Henry’s surgery was successful, the family added.

“We’ve had lots of questions [about] what can we do for our precious Fryar 5. Right now we are working closely with Crossroads El Paso to set up an account where donations can be made,” the church said on its Facebook page.

“Praise report that Bo Henry and Chad were able to talk on the phone this morning!”

Pastor Ron Riddle, also of the Crossroads Cowboy Church in El Paso, said the family is close.

“They have been with us from the beginning, and we consider them family,” Riddle said. “They have a solid faith and understanding of God…we know this solid foundation will help them navigate this difficult time.

“We just love the Fryars so very much,” quoted Riddle as saying. “Just trust that God has bigger plans, things that we cannot see yet.”
